Honorary Treasurer: Ken Hollamby BSc FSAScot FRGS FEI AIFA

After retiring from the North Sea oil industry Ken qualified as an archaeologist at Aberdeen University. Following 23 years in Scotland Ken & his wife returned to Lincolnshire in 2000. Now he is a consultant archaeologist/archivist at CgMs Consulting in Newark.
The term Honorary Treasurer does not fully describe the range of activities that Ken is responsible for. There are the usual activities of a treasurer – collecting money, paying the bills, preparing the annual accounts and generally overseeing the finances of the society. Ken looks after the membership records and takes an active part in recruiting new members. He is also responsible for the commercial activities of the society, liaising with the publishers, controlling stocks and dealing with all matters relating to sales from our backlist.
Ken in his spare time is jointly editing, with Stewart Squires, a volume of 19th century construction photographs of the Saxby – Bourne Railway. We plan to publish the volume jointly with the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology in 2009 to coincide with the annual conference of the Association for Industrial Archaeology in Lincoln. Ken’s contact details are on our Contact Us page.
